Drama As PDP, APC Name Wike In Bayelsa Governorship Election Campaign Councils

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has named the Minister of the Federal Capital (FCT), Nyesom Wike as a member of its campaign council for the upcoming Bayelsa State governorship poll election.

Aprokorepublic gathered that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had included Wike, and the ex-governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom in its governorship election campaign council.

Even though the former Rivers State governor, was recently sworn in as a minister of federal capital territory (FCT) by President Bola Tinubu, he yet to resign as a member of the Peoples Democratic, PDP.

However, APC also named Wike as a member of the council when it set up campaign councils for the Bayelsa, Kogi, and Imo governorship polls billed for later in the year.

A circular sighted by Aprokorepublic  from the ruling APC listed Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State as the chairman of the party’s governorship campaign council in Bayelsa with Defence Minister Abubakar Badaru; Senate President Godsdwill Akpabio and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume as co-chairmen.
