Crime Fighting: Enugu CP Commends Doggedness of Personnel, Warns Against Unprofessionalism

Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kanayo Uzuegbu, has commended Officers and Men of the Command for aligning themselves with the policing strategies initiated to tackle criminality in the State.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Daniel Ndukwe, said this in a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday in Enugu.

Ndukwe said the Commissioner stated this during his Monthly Conference with Senior and Supervisory Officers of the Command’s Departments, Area Commands, Formations, Divisions, Tactical Teams, and sections, held at the Senior Police Officers Mess, Agbani Road, Enugu, on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

While commending the doggedness of the Command’s Operatives in busting criminals and their activities in the State, the CP cautioned the Supervisory Officers to ensure utmost professionalism and shunning acts of corruption, particularly extortion, by their subordinates.

He warns that anyone found wanting will be severely sanctioned.

The CP furthermore appreciated the support received from law-abiding citizens, urging them to continue to keep faith with the Police in the fight against crimes.

He reiterated the Command’s avowed commitment to stamp out unrepentant criminals and their activities in the State.
