Community Donates ₦85m As Ukachukwu Unveils Development Agenda

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the November 8, 2025 election in Anambra State, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, has reiterated his commitment to transforming the state’s economy, agriculture, and healthcare systems if elected.

Speaking during a campaign visit to Unubi in Nnewi South Local Government Area, Ukachukwu promised massive job creation, agricultural loans and grants for farmers, improved road infrastructure, and a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.

He said his administration would prioritize gender balance and inclusivity, pointing to his choice of Senator Uche Ekwunife as his running mate as proof of that commitment.

Ukachukwu condemned the activities of armed groups that have disrupted peace in parts of the state, assuring residents of his readiness to restore security and ensure the prosperity of Ndi Anambra.

He also pledged to establish a university in Nnewi South, provide scholarships to indigent students pursuing medical and other professional courses, and empower local farmers while curbing herdsmen’s incursions on farmlands.

During the visit, Ukachukwu identified the Ekwulummili–Unubi Road as a critical infrastructure needing attention and promised to ensure its full asphalt overlay alongside other roads across the council area.

In a separate development, the APC campaign received a major boost as the Agulu community in Anaocha Local Government Area donated ₦85 million in support of the Ukachukwu/Ekwunife campaign.

The donation, made on Sunday, was described as a demonstration of faith in the APC candidate’s leadership capacity and vision for the state.

Responding, the Secretary of the APC Campaign Council in Nnewi South and former council chairman, Barrister Kingsley Umenwa, urged the people of Unubi to vote massively for Ukachukwu, assuring them that his victory would bring meaningful development to the area.

The people of Unubi, in turn, expressed confidence in Ukachukwu’s leadership and pledged their support, describing his promises as realistic and inspiring for the future of Anambra State.
