The Anambra Central People’s Forum, a registered Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization championing the revival and preservation of the dying Igbo Mother Tongue, has lauded a celebrated legal luminary of very striking intelligence, Ichie Sir Ben Uzuegbu (SAN, FCArb), who they described as an enigma in the traditional circle with candour and humility that should be emulated, added that he is a Philanthropist of no mean value, advocate of human rights and dignity, having carved a niche in the prestigious legal profession.
In a Press Release made available to Journalists in Awka, and signed by its Chairman, Hon. Achebe Chris, the Group said; “We are happy to note that Ichie Sir Ben Uzuegbu’s philanthropic gestures towards Igbo Language Education has brought positive energy in moulding the younger generation to build capacity in the area of Igbo speaking, writing and research for sustained growth of the Igbo race in time and eternity”.

“It is a unique privilege which we shall remember forever, and it gives us strength and courage as we collaboratively dedicate to salvage the Igbo language from extinction, added that Ichie Sir Ben Uzuegbu (SAN, FCArb), had never left anyone in doubt about the love of his culture and proud Igbo heritage.
It continued: “As the Anambra Central People’s Forum continues to chart a course towards Igbo Mother Tongue revival, its strategic partnerships with Ohanaeze Ndigbo and notable Legal luminary of Igbo descent, Ichie Sir Ben Uzuegbu (SAN, FCArb), serves as pillars of strength and solidarity”.

On his part, one of the Patrons of the Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization, former Vice-Chancellor of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University and Founder, Otu Suwakwa Igbo(Nig.) Initiative, Professor Pita Ejiofor commended Ichie Sir Ben Uzuegbu (SAN, FCArb), for his uncommon benevolence towards Igbo Language Education which will help the students in getting a better sense of their cultural background, and urged the people to continue to pray for the man “who has dedicated his life to the advancement of the course of Igbo nation, social justice, human rights advocacy, and the pursuit of democracy and good governance in Nigeria, has a solidified legacy as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, mentor and defender of democratic values and principles“.
Meanwhile, the 3rd edition of the Grand finale of Prof. Pita Ejiofor Annual Igbo Essay Competition for Secondary School Students in Anambra State was held on Friday, 5th July, 2024. It was a moment of glitz and excitement as School administrators, Teachers, Traditional Rulers, Iyoms/Otu Odu, Top government officials, Politicians, Anaocha/Njikoka/Dunukofia Federal Legislative Representative, Honourable Education Commissioner, Educational authorities, among other eminent Anambrarians, converged at the St. Kizito Girls’ Secondary School, Umudioka, to celebrate the student-winners of the Competition, organized by the Anambra Central People’s Forum, and chaired by Prof. (Engr.) Philip Nwabueze Atanmo, erstwhile President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Anambra State chapter.
