APC National Vice Chairman, S’East, Arodiogbu Visits Enugu, Urges Support For Tinubu

The National Vice President, South East of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has called on party members in Enugu to remain faithful to the party and steadfast in their support to the programmes and policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Arodiogbu stated that the bold and courageous policies of President Tinubu, such as removal of subsidy on petroleum products and exchange rate revaluation, may be hard and painful, but will eventually save the nation’s economy from collapse.

The party leader stated that already, gains of the dual policies are beginning to be felt in the nation’s economy with the rapid decrease in the core and food inflation as well as the stability of the exchange rates and stock markets.

Addressing state executive committee members, local government party chairmen, local government women and youth leaders as well as Ward chairmen, during a zonal stakeholders engagement meeting at the APC Enugu State secretariat, the South East Zonal party chairman urged the party leaders not to be distracted by confused coalition politicians, insisting that such opposition leaders are displaced politicians who will soon fizzle out.

“I can assure you that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu means well for Nigeria. His policy of subsidy removal and Naira revaluation is meant to save our economy. There is really no other alternative, and even the other opposition leaders also said that they will remove subsidy if they were elected president. Today the economy is on recovery trajectory and very soon the nation will begin to witness economic boom,” he assured.

He noted that a good number of party leaders and members in Enugu state have been given various appointments and employments, and promised that more opportunities are still on the way.

The zonal chairman expressed appreciation to President Tinubu, the APC southeast zonal leader and governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodimma; the leader of Apc Enugu State and Minister of Innovation Science and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji; the Enugu State Chairman of APC, Barr. Ugochkwu Agballah; members of state executives committee, local government executives, ward executives and all stakeholders, and encouraged them to continue to support the renewed hope reforms of the administration.

He noted the tremendous growth of APC in Enugu State since the last general election and encouraged members to remain resolute in support of the party leaders across board.

Dr. Arodiogbu declared that APC Enugu State was the fastest growing political party in the zone since the 2023.

He commended the chairman of APC Enugu state, Barr Agballah for instilling discipline in the party noting that when the state chairman was elected into office APC Enugu was a rag-tag state chapter where anything goes and where leaders were openly supporting candidates of opposition parties and denigrating the candidates of APC.

“But today the reverse is the case as the party is not only disciplined but have effectively weeded out all moles in the party,” he declared.

Earlier, the state APC chairman, Barr Agballah praised the leadership of Dr. Arodiogbu as well as that of Gov Hope Uzodimma in the zone, especially their support to APC Enugu State.

He said that with the support of the Minister of Innovation Science and Technology, Chief Nnaji and other stakeholders, APC Enugu State has been repositioned and now ready to occupy the situation of power in the state.

Agballah stated that the party has been doing so well hence the influx of new members, including three sitting House of Reps members into the party.

He thanked the party leaders, including state working committee members, Zonal party executives, local government party executives and the Ward executives for their commitment and support.

The state chairman however enjoined them to double their efforts because of the challenge of defeating the ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the state, which he said has misgoverned the state for 27 years and needed to be upstaged in 2027.

In her address the state Woman Leader, Prof Amaka Onu said that she has been a member of state exco since 2015 and never knew APC could become the party of choice for most politicians in Enugu state.

She said that the superlative successes they were witnessing today was as a result of committed leadership by the Chairman Hon Ugochukwu Agballah and the leader Chief Uche Nnaji.
