Anya-Ndi-Igbo Salutes Obi of Onitsha At 84

An Igbo based group, Anya-Ndi-Igbo, has congratulated the Obi of Onitsha, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, CFR, DSc, LLD (Agbogidi), on his 84th birthday and coronation anniversary.

The group, conveyed its message to the traditional ruler in a statement issued and signed by its Chairman, Board of Trustees, Dr. Uma Eleazu, in Enugu on Saturday.

They commended the support of the monarch in the birth of the organisation.

“Your support is an important birth of Anya Ndi Igbo and your goodwill have a valuable asset in our records.

“Anya Ndi Igbo rejoices with you on the twin anniversaries of your Royal Birth and Coronation as Obi of Onitsha on May 14, 1941 and 2002, respectively.

“With joy in our hearts, and gratitude to God Almighty, we join your subjects at home and in the diaspora in celebrating your Majesty as a good King who shows the attributes of a Servant-Leader.

“Please, accept Your Royal Majesty, the assurances of our highest regards.” the statement said.
