Ukuaonvwe Godstime, a human right activist and south south coordinator of the intellectual young leaders network, IYLN RFM has drawn the attention of ѕome rєnowned Government officials at both state and federal levels to the obvious derelict state of roads in The State.

In a Facebook post, Comr. Godstime lamented that the representatives have betrayed the support of the people that voted them in..

Here is his post below👇

Fellow Nigerians

Today been October 1st the day our country gained independence officially from colonial Master’s, means a lot of things to many of us
It has been 60 beautiful years down the train with challenges, obstacles and it’s own fair share of victory.

This press text became eminent due to challenges that confront us at the home front
The office of the Nigerian citizen is too significant to be ignored by all strata
The pains and challenges of the citizens should top the priority of every arm of government

I shall now narrow this broadcast to issues as it affects my people of Abraka in Ethiope East local government
As we speak the federal high way passing through the University community is in comatose
Unfit and embarrassing to the university community
The Abraka Obiaruku Agbor express way has become a death trap

By the reason of the 60th Independence Day celebration in the spirit of true and genuine freedom and unity of purpose I’m calling on the Nigerian government
The federal road maintenance agency
Ministry of works,
The Delta State government housing and power headed by His Excellency Raji Babatunde Fashola to come to the aid of Abraka people in Ethiope East LGA
I understand quite alright that the road has been approved and contractors duly mobilised but it is one thing to to approve contracts and it another thing to monitor same
As we speak there’s no work in progress and the aforementioned spots has become a death trap.

The silence of His Excellency Sen Ovie Omoagege the senator representing Delta central where Abraka falls into and Reps Rollands Igbakpa is unbecoming of leadership and has turned a total betrayal of public trust, insensitive and shear wickedness to the constituents who elected them freely to represent their interest at the federal level.
