Abia State 2027 governorship aspirant, Sir Mascot Uzor Kalu, has reaffirmed his belief that Igbo unity remains the strongest path to regional prosperity and Africa’s advancement.

He made this remark at the 2025 End-of-Year Party and AGM of the Akuluno United Brothers Association (AUBA), held at the Oranto International Airport Hotel, Enugu.

Sir Kalu, who attended the event under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), described unity of purpose as “the panacea for collective progress, economic strength, and a renewed Igbo identity.”

In a major show of support, the aspirant announced a ₦100 million donation to AUBA, aimed at strengthening the association’s programmes and deepening its impact among Igbo communities at home and in the diaspora.

The event unfolded in a colourful sequence of activities as business leaders, political actors, industry captains and distinguished guests gathered to celebrate brotherhood and cultural pride.

The hall brimmed with energy, a red-carpet glamour, elegant attires, a beautifully decorated venue, rich cuisine, and vibrant music that elevated the atmosphere of unity and thanksgiving.

Guests shared memorable stories, recounted the association’s achievements, and reaffirmed their commitment to Igbo solidarity. For many, the evening stood out as a powerful reminder that progress thrives where unity leads.
