Gov. Mbah Mourns Senator Okey Ezea

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has described the death of Senator Okey Ezea as a major setback for Enugu State and Nigeria.

In a statement on Wednesday, Mbah said Ezea’s passing had created a void that would be difficult to fill, noting his resilience and unwavering commitment to his constituents.

He said Senator Ezea’s political career was defined by courage, clarity and a deep love for Enugu State, adding that his contributions in the Senate earned him respect across party lines.

Mbah said the loss was not only personal to Ezea’s family, but a collective tragedy for Enugu and the nation.

On behalf of the government and people of Enugu State, he extended condolences to the senator’s family, the people of Enugu North Senatorial District and the National Assembly, praying for the repose of his soul.
