Ikukuoma Sympathizes with flood victims as he visits Ire-Obunagu Ogidi (SEE PICTURES)

The Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the forthcoming Anambra State off-cycle election scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, MFR, FNIPR (Ikukuoma Ndigbo), has sympathized with victims of the recent flood disaster at Ire-Obunagu, Ogidi, in Idemili North Local Government Area.

The devastating incident, which left many families homeless, destroyed farmlands and properties, and injured several residents, has thrown the entire community into deep sorrow and uncertainty.

Speaking on behalf of the Ire-Obunagu Ogidi community, a representative expressed profound appreciation to Ikukuoma for visiting the scene and for his immediate humanitarian response, describing him as “a leader who not only makes promises but acts promptly to alleviate suffering.”

In his remarks, Prince Ukachukwu commiserated with the affected families, offering words of comfort and solidarity. He prayed for the quick recovery of those injured and assured the community that their plight would not be ignored.

“No family should ever go through such avoidable pain again. I stand here not just to sympathize and commiserate, but to assure you that a better, safer Anambra is possible and coming. With your support, we shall make it happen,” Ikukuoma declared.

He further revealed a bold and strategic plan to tackle flooding and erosion challenges across Anambra State, emphasizing that one of his first infrastructural priorities as governor will be to implement durable flood control measures in vulnerable communities.

Demonstrating compassion beyond words, Ikukuoma made a generous donation to the victims, a gesture that brought tears of joy and relief to many families battling the aftermath of the disaster.

The people of Ire-Obunagu Ogidi, visibly moved by his visit, expressed their heartfelt gratitude and reaffirmed their unwavering support for the Ukachukwu–Ekwunife ticket, describing Ikukuoma as a leader with empathy and action-driven vision.
