Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the follow….. positions at National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu for full time employment and residency training.
National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu is a Federal tertiary specialist healthcare institution in Nigeria. Remunerations and conditions of service are as obtainable in other similar federal public tertiary hospitals in Nigeria.
A. CONSULTANTS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS;
1. Burns & Plastic surgeon
2. Anaesthesiologist
3. Pathologist (Histopathology)
4. Radiologist
5. Cardiologist
6. Trauma surgeon
7. Neurosurgeon
8. Family physician
9. General surgeon
10. Paediatric Anaesthetist (Full-time or Part-time)
Requirements: Applicants must possess basic MBBS or MBCH degree
qualification, postgraduate training with completion of the part 2 of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) or its equivalent and fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or West African college of Surgeons (WACS) and current practicing license from Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). Possession of the two fellowships is an advantage.
B. RESIDENT DOCTORS IN THE FOLLOWING SPECIALTIES
1. Orthopedic surgery
2. Burns & Plastic surgery
3. Anesthesia
4. Radiology
Requirement: Applicants must possess basic MBBS or MBCH degree current practicing license from Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and Primary fellowship qualification of the NPMCN or WACS in the relevant specialty.
C. MEDICAL OFFICERS
Requirement: Candidate must possess a basic MBBS or MBCH degree and a current practicing license from Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). Demonstration of interest in residency training by evidence of registration for Primary fellowship exams will be an advantage. Candidates must commit to commencing residency training by passing relevant primary examination within 18 months of recruitment.
D. NURSING OFFICERS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS
1. Accident & emergency nursing
2. Orthopedic nursing
3. Burns & plastic nursing
4. Anesthetic nursing
5. Intensive care unit (ICU) nursing
6. Perioperative (Theatre) nursing
7. Nurse tutors
Requirement: Applicants must possess a general nursing certificate from an accredited institution by the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria, post basic nursing certificate in the relevant specialty area and a current practicing license.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Interested candidates should submit a letter of application with photocopies of relevant documents including birth certificate, local government identification, NYSC discharge or exemption, three (3) sealed referees reports, one must be from the dean, head of department or last employer as well as recent Curriculum Vitae addressed to the Medical Director, National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu.
The complete documents should be contained in a sealed envelope indicating on the right upper corner your discipline and should be submitted by hand or by post to the office of the Medical Director not later than Six (6) weeks from the date of this advertisement.
