Enugwu-Ukwu town, in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, on Sunday evening, with excitement, received Sir Paul Chukwuma, the Anambra State Governorship candidate of the Young Progressive Party, YPP, and his Deputy, Uzu Okagbue, who were hosted by Chief Micheal Onyeka Obidi, the CEO of Mega Abattoir.

Sir Paul Chukwuma, who arrived at the Mega Abattoir spot in Enugwu-Ukwu with his Deputy, Uzu Okagbue, and members of his team, was most warmly received by many well-wishers and popular entertainers including flutist Ojaligbo, and Mbem master, Odejiji, and hundreds of youths who came out in solidarity with the YPP team, among others.

In his brief remarks, the YPP Deputy Governorship candidate, Uzu Okagbue, stated that Sir Paul Chukwuma is resolute in fixing Anambra State and restoring security in the state, so as to boost businesses. “We want to fix Anambra so that security will return to Anambra State, and businesses will flourish. We will ensure that we fix the security challenges in Anambra State when elected”, Okagbue said, as he then handed over the microphone to the YPP Governorship candidate, Sir Paul Chukwuma.

On his part, the YPP Governorship candidate, Sir Paul Chukwuma, stated that the current administration in Anambra State has a misplaced priority and, consequently, failed to prioritize what matters most. “If you are hungry, will you go to funcity to swim? How many people here can go to the New Government House? Anambra belongs to all of us. We are determined to fix Anambra State. It is time for Anambra youths to take their destiny into their hands,” Paul Chukwuma emphasized, to the admiration of those present.

Only a few days ago, precisely on Wednesday last week, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, lifted the ban on political campaigns for the November 8, Anambra State Governorship Election. So far, the YPP’s engagement with the grassroots has remained electrifying, signaling the birth of a real opposition to APGA’s dominance of gubernatorial contest in Anambra’s past governorship elections.
