Hon. Caleb Ani, the Executive Chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area, has donated 2 operational vehicles to the sanitation task force to strengthen their operations.
Ani, while presenting the vehicles to the committee led by the Senior Special Adviser on Transport, Hon. Chigbo Chukwu, and his team, said the donation was aimed at facilitating their activities and enhancing their efficiency in waste management.

He explained that the donation was prompted by the renewed effort to ensure a safe, clean and healthy environment.
He said, “We have intensified sanitation and security measures within the council. The aim is to maintain clean communities.

The LG boss emphasized the importance of the task force, urging them to remain committed and dedicated.
He noted that with the provision of the vehicles, the team was better equipped to maintain a clean and orderly environment across major areas such as Timber Market, Garriki, Mayor Market, and other locations within the council.
According to the him, the sanitation committee has a critical role to play in ensuring easy vehicular movement and environmental cleanliness.
He charged them to carry out their responsibilities without bias, describing their efforts as a vital contribution to the government’s agenda of development and good governance.
In a related development, the chairman also addressed the issue of security during a meeting held on Wednesday.

He commended various security agencies for their efforts in maintaining peace in the area and across the state, acknowledging their role in the implementation of the state’s security programme.
He further assured the security agencies of the local government’s continued cooperation and support. Stressing the importance of partnership, the chairman reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the state government and security institutions to ensure a safe and crime-free Enugu South.
