The Executive Chairman of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State, Dr. Eric Odo, has commended Governor Peter Mbah, for his developmental strides in the state.

Odo gave the commendation on Tuesday in Enugu while appraising Governor Peter Mbah’s two years in office on Dream 92.5 Fm flagship program, Political Voices.

The chairman noted that the governor has initiated, executed, and completed several development projects in the state.

He listed the projects to include completion of the International Conference Centre, construction of 260 Smart Schools, and 260 Type-II Primary Health Centres as well as establishment of Farm Estate.

While saying Gov. Mba has touched every sector of the state, he described the governor as a courageous man, who, through transformative leadership, has transformed and also set the state on the path of sustainable progress.

According to him, the governor is a result-oriented person who doesn’t listen to excuses or stories, noting that that has been his guiding principles.

“The governor will always bring out the best in you. He doesn’t pressure you to do your work. In fact, he will assist you to deliver on the job you are doing.

“He is a man driven by result. He doesn’t listen to stories. What he wants is result.

“That is why whatever is expected of us as a state, to be even in the next 20 years, we can start doing it, that is why he said tomorrow is here.

“Tomorrow is here simply means that those things we are dreaming that will see and benefit in the next one year, we can start benefiting them now, so that when we get to tomorrow, we will continue to enjoy.

“For us, it is a very good two years for us in Enugu State, especially some of us who have been working with him,” Odo said.

The council boss said his administration is replicating governor’s development blueprint in Igbo-Etiti, which has resulted in the execution of different projects.

“In Igbo-Etiti today, one of our mantra is equity, fairness, and justice. We come from a local government area that is dominated by two communities, Aku and Ukehe.

“What we have done is that whatever that we are doing in one ward, the same way the governor is treating every LGA equally, the same way we are treating every ward equally.

“Igbo-Etiti is about to be declared Open Defecation Free (ODF), and we are working tirelessly to make sure it is actualized by June this year.

“It will be a very big ceremony for the state and the LGA that we have managed the resources of the council in such a way the state of emergency we declared in water sector and our investment in constructing public toilets is evident,” he emphasized.
