2027: I’m Running For Presidency Again – SDP’s Adebayo

A former presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in the 2023 general elections, Adewole Adebayo, said he has informed the party of his intention to run for presidency come 2027.

Adebayo stated this on Tuesday while responding to questions in an interview on ‘Prime Time’, a programme on Arise Television

“I have informed my party, the SDP that I will be running for the presidency again in 2027 and everyone in my party knows that I’m contesting again.

“I am working with the party to strengthen it, invite more people into the party, and improve the quality of the processes within the party to manage the challenges of cultural clashes because of the new people coming into the party and see that the party does not disappoint Nigerians.

“The best prayer that can be offered is for the road to be rough because when your road is rough, you will enjoy and appreciate the destination when you get there.

“What we are trying to do is not to fake anything but to deal with issues. When the issues are external like government or other people, we deal with it. When the issues are internal, we don’t pretend, we deal with it,” he said.
