An Igbo socio-cultural group, Anya Ndi Igbo, has urged candidates affected by the human error which led to a glitch in the 2025 Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination to participate in the rescheduled exam.

The group, in a statement signed by the chairman of its Board of Trustees, Dr. Uma Eleazu, and 12 others on Thursday in Enugu, reiterated the need for all the candidates in Southeast whose centre had issues to participate in the rescheduled retake starting from 16th May, 2025 (today).

JAMB had rescheduled the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 379,999 candidates in five states of South-East and Lagos state, following technical hitches experienced during the exams, which led to error in the results.

The exam body insisted that the resit exam will not clash with the ongoing West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

JAMB, in its X handle, said: “We’re in synergy with WAEC, necessary action will be taken to avoid clash in examination schedules.”
